Zones
Zone A covers all of Gothenburg
Västtrafik divides Västra Götaland into three zones. Zone A covers Gothenburg, Mölndal, Partille and Öckerö — the entire tram network, including lines 4 and 12 to Mölndal. If you only ride the tram, you never need to think about zones.
Travelling further by train or bus into the region: zone AB costs 76 kr and the whole region (ABC) 114 kr for an adult single.
How to buy your ticket
Please note: cash is not accepted on board, and drivers do not sell tickets. Travelling without a valid ticket carries a 1,500 kr penalty fare if checked.
